I have started adding complimentary cards to my gift orders and I had a lovely time making this card following Sketch Saturday #726   as my inspiration, tho I did use it in a very loose way!

I'm feeling 22

Here is another new year card I made, following the sketch from Sketch Saturday #691 . Another very simple new year card that I've followed the sketch down to a tee. Using hues of orange and greens, with a bit of gold I decided to keep this card very very simple.

a good time for new year!

I am so so behind on all my new year cards and gifts (some of it due to *cough* global supply chian issues *cough* so I thought I would use this as a chance for both insporation and to get the cards off my to-do list.  Following the lovely skecth from Freshly Made Sketches #516 , I used a black background to make the blues and gold pop more. This was such a quick card to whip up, thanks to how simple and striking the sketch was. I used a few circle punches from two different blues and a white. Added a "good times" sentiment, a die cut (that was leftover from another card) for the number and finished off with a few gold rhinestones.

Birthday Gold and Silver

A very quick later birthday card I made for a lovely friend. Remind me to incorporate more gold and silver bling in my cards for that extra oomph.  I followed the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #513 down to a tee. It was such a nice sketch I was so inspired. The Color Hues #30 of Silver and Gold made for just the perfect color combo for this sparkly card. I added different shades of silver and gold, including a greyish silver banner and writing her name in silver foam, finishing up with some gold and silver rhinestones. As it was a birthday card, a little foam cake sticker was just the perfect image.  I really enjoyed the process of making this card.

Hello There

Image
After a while, I made a card. I have so many new year cards to make but I couldn't help and make this hello there card just because I really loved the color theme I followed.   I followed the sketch from My Favourite Things Sketch no #568 very closely and also the 3 colors from CAS Colors & Sketches no #446 . I didn't really have the green so used the army green color instead.  I love how this card came out and how well the silver and pink goes together. I added a few gem stickers to complete it. The girl sticker really stands out and the sentiment "hello there" makes this an any occassion card, which are my favourites. I also made an enveloope from some pattern paper to go with the card.

Let Your Heart be Free

This color challenge from CAS 442 really made me feel like I need to increased my paper stash because I don't have any of the colors? I tried to use my watercolors but alas it wasn't the best. Still, I enjoyed the process of making this card and it's a reminder to go and buy more cardstock ahaha.  For the background, I painted on two different pieces of paper on colors that were the closest to the challenge. Used some floral motifs and vellum to create the image and added a sentiment ephemera from my stash.

You are Loved

I love no reason cards, they're my favourite to make. This one is very loosely following the Freshly Made Sketches 507.  The star is the show is the girl sticker. I love the colors so much I chose different shades of blue to compliment it. It was one of the easiest to make cards, pretty much done within ten minutes.
